About LIR Transfers

Our Story

Hello! My name is Aaron, and I’m the founder of LIR Transfers. For over 20 years, my team and I have had the privilege of working in the transportation industry right here in beautiful Guanacaste. Living and working in this province, we’ve seen firsthand how much it has grown as a world-class tourist destination.

Throughout those years, we realized that while Costa Rica offers a beautiful escape, the journey can sometimes be stressful. Finding a reliable, honest, and easy-to-book transfer is one of the most important parts of a smooth vacation. We wanted to create a service that could solve that problem.

That’s why, in March 2024, my team and I decided to take everything we had learned and start LIR Transfers. Our goal was simple: provide a new, fresh option for visitors arriving at Liberia Guanacaste Airport (LIR). Our fleet is designed for every group size, from solo travelers to large parties, ensuring you always travel with the highest standards of safety and comfort.

As of July 2025, we’ve had the pleasure of completing over 620 transfers. Each one is a new opportunity for us to show our guests the true meaning of Pura Vida—a journey that is as friendly and reliable as the people of Costa Rica.
